You may be suffering from depression, anxiety, frustration, sadness, helplessness, or other issues. But don’t give up. Get help.
I can help you get there!
It is so often the case that we do not seek help until we are in a desperate situation, emotionally or otherwise. Often people hope the situation will “fix itself.” I observe so many people, young and old alike, who are alone in their internal suffering and do not realize that counselling services are available and that counselling helps.
My goal as a Therapist is to help you get to a better place in your life. I will bring my professional training, breadth of experience and a strong sense of empathy to bear in helping you. I offer a safe, relaxed and real-world approach to freshly understanding your situation and gaining some strategies to get on a healthy new track.
Individual counselling is a type of therapy that involves a one-on-one session between a therapist and a person in therapy. The goal of individual counselling is to help people overcome obstacles to their well-being, improve their quality of life, and learn skills for handling difficult situations. It can help treat mental, emotional, physical, and behavioral issues such as anxiety, stress, addiction, abuse, insomnia, and more.
Couples counselling is a type of therapy for intimate partners who want to improve their communication, interactions, and relationship. It can address specific or general problems, such as affairs, anger, or financial challenges. Couples counselling is often short-term and focuses on specific problems. Other goals of couples counselling are improving communication and interactions and strengthening relationships.
Addiction counselling is a specialized form of therapy designed to address the underlying causes of addiction. It involves a therapeutic relationship between a client who is experiencing addiction, dependence or abuse of alcohol or other drugs and a Therapist trained to provide that help to address that addiction, dependence or abuse. Addiction counselling can increase self-awareness, strengthen coping mechanisms, and help prevent relapse
Many people experience at least one trauma in their lives. Trauma can include a wide range of situations, ranging from serious injury, sexual violence, and life-threatening events, to chronic abuse and neglect, being bullied, and homelessness. Trauma therapy can help you process your feelings about traumatic events and learn to prioritize self-care, be patient with yourself, and find ways to enjoy yourself again.
